About Enabley

Who builds Enabley, why it exists, and what we promise the businesses that move to it.

Why Enabley exists

MultiChannel Order Manager has run mail-order and ecommerce operations for more than twenty years. Thousands of businesses still process orders, manage inventory, handle purchasing, and close their books in it every day. It is battle-tested software with deep domain knowledge baked into every workflow, which is exactly why replacing it casually is such a bad idea.

What it does not have is a future. The application still sits on Visual FoxPro, a runtime Microsoft discontinued in 2007, its integration API is Windows-only, and payment data rests in plain columns across the database. The vendor has no path to modernize it without breaking everything downstream.

MOM isn't bad software. It's software that did its job well and was never allowed to evolve. The businesses that depend on it are stuck, not because MOM doesn't work, but because the platform under it is dead. Enabley exists to end the stuck part: keep what MOM knows, replace everything underneath it, and hand you a system with a maintained future.

Built by the former head of MOM product development

Gary MacDougall

Founder, Big Decibel LLC

Gary spent over five years inside the company that built MOM as VP of Product Development at Freestyle Corporation (later Dydacomp), but more than a decade building technology and tools around the MOM ecosystem.

He founded BizSyncXL, an early SaaS order-management platform that Freestyle (Dydacomp) acquired in 2014 — modern web architecture inside a product line whose FoxPro core was never replaced, because keeping thousands of existing customers running made a full rewrite impractical.

Enabley is the move that wasn't possible inside the vendor, and it is built on the knowledge only someone who ran MOM's engineering would have: the real MOM, not its manual. Every migration mapping, every preserved workflow, and every compatibility decision comes from what MOM actually does in production, not what the documentation claims it does.

What Enabley is

Enabley is the managed cloud for businesses moving off MultiChannel Order Manager. We host it, upgrade it, back it up, monitor it, and support it. Your team places orders the way it always has, and the server closet stops being your problem.

Enabley is a ground-up replacement derived from the real MOM databases, documented COM API, and production workflows — not a generic commerce platform approximating MOM behavior. It speaks MOM's language instead of imitating it. Row-by-row status of every capability lives on the compatibility page, gaps included.

And we are honest about where it stands: Enabley is a release candidate in early access, not a generally available product, and we don't pretend otherwise. What ships, what's planned, and what we won't promise is written down, not spun.

How we work with you

  • A person reads every request. Early access isn't instant signup: someone qualified answers, not a form queue.
  • Scope, pricing, and timing are confirmed in writing before anything is committed. No paid prices are published yet — on purpose.
  • Your data stays yours. Export it whenever you want, in open formats; no plan traps your records.
  • We publish what's real, including the gaps: the compatibility page is maintained row by row.

Talk to us about your move.

Tell us about your operation and we'll tell you honestly whether Enabley fits, and what moving would take.
